Tirobhav jayanti of Srila Vakreswara Pandita

Jai Srila Jagannath! Suprobhat from Sri Gaura dham Sridham Nabadwip. Hv a pleasant and blessed day. Today is the Tirobhav jayanti of Srila Vakreswara Pandita, on of the most near associate of Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu.

Question and answer 1

Devotee: When the devotees want to serve the dieties, worship Dieties

but not want to accept a Guru, then what is their future? How will this

infleunce them in future?

Prabhu: There is no future. If Guru will not hold your hand then who will

help you to advance. When we are travelling at a new place, we don’t

know anything about that place so we have to accept one guide from

there. If you have no guide, maybe you can travel by yourself but you

will miss the important places to see. So Sri Gurudev will work as guide, he will work as your helper, he will support you by knowledge. So if you

are not accepting Sri Gurudev then maybe for a long time you can do

this... What happened with Dhruv Maharaja, he did very strong sadhana

and Svayam Bhagwan was very pleased by his austerities, he said this to

Devarishi Narad “O Devarishi, by seeing his tapasya, his sadhana I am

very happy, I want to bless him, I want to give him darshan”. Devarishi

Narad said “Ok, who can stop you. Bhagwan will go to his devotees who

can stop Bhagwan. You are the most powerful”. Then Bhagwan said “No, I cannot”. Devarishi Narad said “why not?”. “Till now he has not got

Guru blessing. First he will have accept Gurudev”. You just go to him and

give him intiation”. Then Devarishi Narad went to Dhruv maharaja and

gave him mantra. Dhruv Maharaja accepted him as Sri Gurudev. Then

when he started to chant these mantras, Svayam Bhagwan appeared in

front of him. Everything was prepared then also... Maybe you fix this

light bulb, prepare everything but if there is no power supply then it will

not blow up. Guru blessing is like power supply. Even if everything is

prepared but the power supply is not there then nothing will happen. This bulb will not blow up. So that is why we need Guru blessing in our

life.

In Narad Pancaratra very nice thing is there, same question is there. It

was some question like maybe I chant the mantras from my heart, I can

get all these mantras from books; Gopal mantra and all other mantras; I

can find these in granthas. I can read mantras from there. Maybe

Gurudev will advice me to just chant certain rounds. So, I will not accept

Gurudev but everyday I will chant hundred thousand times. So what will

happen with him?

Very nice answer was given. The best activity for our life, most

important activity is diksha, initiation. Whenever we will get this desire 

“Oh, I have to take diksha. I will take the shelter on the lotus feet of Sri

Gurudev”. So whenever we take this sankalp, vow; then all the siddhis

will stand in front of us. After intiation you just follow the intructions, then all siddhis will come to you. But if you did not accept Guru blessing,

if you did not take the shelter on the lotus feet, then what will happen?

Not only hundred thousand but ten hundred thousand times you can

chant, you can chant in this way life after life but you will not get one

single drop of siddhi. All the activities will work only after Guru blessing.

If you will do 10% you will get result at that moment only, not only 10%

you will get extra 50% result. By doing 10% activity you will get 60%

result. And sometime maybe 100% only by doing only 10%. And without

Guru blessing, maybe you do 100% you will get not even 1% of result. Because that is not real bhakti, pure bhakti, real attachment. That mood

will not appear, that’s why we need Guru blessing.

Sri Krishna Chaitanya Prabhu is also idol

of prema. But Nitaichand is really very active for our life by his kripa. When both of them met each other in the house of Nandan acharya in Sri Dham Navadwip, when Mahaprabhu came to meet Nitaichand first time here and he took him to Srivas Angan. For some days in the beginning Nitaichand was watching what was going on there. And He

found that Sriman Mahaprabhu is doing kirtan, enjoying with devotees but there were only

close devotees. That time Mahaprabhu used to enjoy kirtan with only close devotees. Then

Nitaichand asked “O brother maybe You have forgotten why You are here, why You have

entered here in this material world. You promised something to all kali people, maybe You

have forgotten”. Then Mahaprabhu said “Yes, I promised I know everything I did’nt forget

anything”. “Then what are You doing? You appeared here to spread prema everywhere. You

promised everyone that they will get the highest prema by Your blessing but what You are

doing now? You are enjoying with close devotees only, so how all the kali people will get the

special mercy from You”. Then Sri Gaur said “O sripad; yes, I promised them that I will spread

prema everywhere, everyone will enjoy this Vraja prema but how I can do this because You

are the storehouse, You can spread it everywhere. The promise was Mine but You have to

fulfill it for everyone. So You have to start preaching about Krishna nama”. So it is very clear, Mahaprabhu said this to Nityananda- only you can give prema to general people, kali jiva; not

Me. “Yes, that is my prema, Krishna prema but only You can give that”. Then Nitaichand

promised to everyone.

Glories of Nitai Chand

We are always burning in the samsar. So when we will take shelter on the lotus feet of Sri

Gurudev, Sri Nitaichand then He will stop this fire by His causeless mercy and He will protect

us from this material world. He will take our consciousness onto the point of purity. So

Nityananda is also doing the same thing. Whenever we will take shelter on His lotus feet then

all the confusion will go away from our heart. Then our life will be very peaceful, full of eternal

happiness. Generally we are always getting the blessing from Sri Nityananda because without

His blessing we cannot move here in this material world here. In this material world we are

getting this material happiness also, this realisation, feeling, everything is coming from Sri

Nityananda because He is the source of ananda, all ananda but when we will realise his

presence in our life then eternal happiness will appear. Then our life will be very peaceful, no

more problem, no more hurdles, no more anarthas will come in front of us. We know the rays of moon are very cool, its not very hot like sunrays; always we are getting

some cooling sensation. When we see the full moon suddenly in our heart peace will appear. So if only one moon can give you such cooling, then what to speak of the lotus feet of

Nitaichand. The lotus feet of Nitaichand is equal to hundreds of million of moon together. So

when we will touch the lotus feet by our heart, our mind, our thinking, our mood then that

coolness will appear in our life. And all the planetary system, whole of the world will get the

shadow of causeless mercy. We are not qualified we have so many contamination by our intelligence, by our mood, by our

nature, by our habit, by our body, everything is contaminated but by when Nitaichand will

bless us when our mind will be attracted by the qualities of Sri Nityananda, then eternal

happiness will appear by His causeless mercy. Then we will be protected. That means we are

under umbrella of Nitaichand

Today we will listen about the glories of Sri Nityananda. How Narottam Das Thakur glorifies Sri

Nityananda. And not only this, for all the jivas what is 'nityananda'. He described in his prayer

'Nitai Pada Kamala'. So today we will listen about that prayer of Narottam Das Thakur. How he

glorified Sri Nityananda. So in this prayer he gave us realization and he reminded us about Sri

Nityananda that in front of kaliyuga there is no other way. If you want to get successful in your

life you will need the blessings and mercy of Sri Nityananda. doyal shiromani sri nitaichand. He

is the most merciful. So that is why we have to feel realised and follow his advice. How he gave

us this realization, how he glorified Nityananda. nitai-pada-kamala, koti-chandra-sushitala

je chayay jagata juray

heno nitai bine bhai, radha-krishna paite nai

dridha kori dharo nitair pay

If we hold the lotus feet of Nityananda then all the fire in our life will be extinguished. Always

we are burning, always we are suffering by three taap- adi devik, adi bhautik, adi adhyatmik. These are three taap in our life. So how Nitaichand is stopping these fire. Nityananda Prabhu is

adiguru for all kali people. The first duty of Guru is to stop all the fire. What we are chanting
